Hop on the Bike Bus

Every Friday! Rain or shine.

Join the growing movement of Bike Buses, groups of families riding to school together. It is the best way to start your day and a great way to meet your neighbours and make friends!

Gordon Elementary Bike Bus started in April 2023 and is well loved by students and parents! The Bike Bus is a parent-led initiative and students need be accompanied by a parent/caregiver/neighbour. Our Bike Bus has two routes:

We meet every Friday around 8:30am by Kits House and Tatlow Park and start riding at 8:40am.

East Route

Starts from Kits House (7th Ave & Vine). Riders are also welcome to join from any corner along 8th Ave (wait on north side).

North Route

Starts from Tatlow Park (south end, on 3rd Ave). Riders are also welcome to join from any corner along Balaclava St.

All riders must wear a helmet

Bring a bike lock, but in case you forget, there are two locks in the school office you can borrow for the day!

Special Rides

During the school year we will also have special rides like hot chocolate bike bus, Earth Day Bike Bus, Intergenerational Bike Bus, and more. Stay tuned for more details throughout the year!
